Fox Lake traffic stop yields drug arrest

A 22-year-old Wisconsin man was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop in Fox Lake Thursday night.

At 9:15 p.m., Fox Lake police received a call of a driver swerving while heading south on Route 12. Police said they found a 2004 black Chevy Cavalier driven by Brian Antoniak, of the 2000 block of South Johnson Road in New Berlin, Wis.

Authorities said Antoniak was in possession of heroin and a syringe. He was charged with unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, unlawful possession of a controlled substance/less than 15 grams of heroin, iIllegal transportation of alcohol and unlawfully permitting a minor to become intoxicated, authorities said.

Antoniak's vehicle and approximately $4,000 in cash were seized by the police department.
