• Kevin R. Walsh, 43, of the 0-99 block of Leadville Lane, Gilberts, was charged with driving under the influence and driving too fast for conditions after he crashed his car into a fence on the 39W500 block of Big Timber Road near Elgin at about 11:15 p.m. Feb. 21, according to a sheriff's report.

• A purple purse, Social Security card and $28 were stolen from a woman who when to a party on the 10N800 block of South Street near Elgin at 9 p.m. Friday, according to a sheriff's report.
