Forest Elementary School's PTC recently sponsored a chemistry assembly staged by Science Alliance that was inspiring and informational.

"Close Encounters of the Chemical Kind" was orchestrated by Bill Bosworth, who taught high school chemistry, physics and biology for 10 years in Lake Geneva, Wis. The presentation wowed Forest Elementary School students with chemical reactions, while performing experiments with color changes, gooey gak, springy balls, and more.

Displays were coupled with discussions of safety procedures and equipment. More than 40 student volunteers participated in demonstrating the various principles.
