Crespo named to state audit commission

State Rep. Fred Crespo has been appointed to the Legislative Audit Commission, which reviews all audits conducted by the State Auditor General and holds public hearings on all major audits of state agencies to review problems, assess stewardship of public funds and make recommendations to the General Assembly and agency management. It is made up of 12 legislators from the House and Senate selected by leadership from both parties. “The state has much to gain from the work of this commission, namely ensuring that agencies maintain effective programs and take measures to reduce unnecessary spending disclosed through audits,” said Crespo, a Hoffman Estates Democrat. For details on the commission, contact Crespo’s constituent services office at (630) 372-3340.
