Barrington area hospice agency changing its name

Barrington-based Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois is changing its name to JourneyCare, effective Monday, March 4. The 30-year-old community-based nonprofit agency is making the change based on research that revealed the name was long and generic and that there was confusion as to the agency's name. In fact, research revealed that people used 18 different names for the agency. The only thing that is changing is the name. The agency has not been sold or merged with another agency.
