Four charged in Schaumburg break-ins

Schaumburg police on Friday announced the arrests of four suspects charged in separate cases of burglary and theft.

In the first case, police arrested Stephen L. Brown, 18, of the 900 block of Cardiff Court, and a 16-year-old juvenile from Schaumburg in connection with a residential burglary that took place about 10 a.m. Monday on the 900 block of Cardiff Court.

A neighbor reported that two teens climbed a fence into a rear yard and went into a home, police said. Police soon after located the two suspects in the neighborhood.

Brown appeared in court for a bond hearing Tuesday, and the juvenile was in custody at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center.

On Friday, police arrested Joseph M. Robie, 22, of the 100 block of Farmgate Drive, and Glenn R. Frost, 20, of the 1500 block of Spruce Avenue in Hanover Park, on charges of theft and criminal trespass to vehicle — both misdemeanors.

A resident on Cabot Lane reported two people were trying to break into vehicles about 11 p.m. Thursday. Officers located Robie and Frost and determined they had entered at least one vehicle and stole property from within, police said.

Both men were released on bond.
