.38 Special set to play at Northwest Fourth Fest

The Hoffman Estates finance committee unanimously approved a $34,000 contract Monday for a performance by the band .38 Special at this year's Northwest Fourth Fest.

The show, which will take place on Saturday, July 6, on the main stage, will cost $30,000. The $4,000 balance will cover additional stage production and other rider expenses.

The cost of the show was included in the village's fiscal year 2013 budget and will be expended from the entertainment division of the Fourth of July budget.
