McFun for Carpenter School fundraiser

On Thursday, Feb. 21, Carpenter School held a McTeacher's Night at the Park Ridge McDonald's.

Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the school. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru, greeters, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, making ice cream cones, and making smoothies. There were even teachers singing for tips and teachers doing arts and crafts with the children. Carpenter school had it all covered, and the families all had a great time.

The School hopes to use the money raised at McTeacher's Night to help purchase a Smartboard for the school. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school. The McDonald's Community Relations Director told McPrincipal Balduf that they have never had 34 teachers at a McTeacher Night ever! It was an outstanding show of support and as a result all the kids came to see their teachers work at McDonald's. A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. It was a great night!

Ronald's appearance was courtesy of the Park Ridge McDonald's owner/operator's, the Schenk Family. For more information about events provided by the Park Ridge McDonald's contact the Park Ridge McDonald's Community Relations Director, Julie.Travers@comcast.net.
