St. Charles North Drill Team Wins at Stevenson

The St. Charles North varsity and junior varsity drill teams competed at the Stevenson High School Team Dance Illinois regional invitational Sunday, February 17th. The varsity team, competing in the 3A title division, received first place in the open pom category, first place in the lyrical category, and second place in the open dance category. Each dance scored high enough to be rewarded with a qualification to the Team Dance Illinois State Championship. The junior varsity team, competing in the JV title division, received first place in the open pom category, first place in the lyrical category and second place in the open dance category. The JV team scored high enough to be awarded with state qualifications for each dance as well.

Both the varsity and JV teams will be competing at the TDI State Championship on Sunday, March 3rd at the Civic Center in Peoria. The varsity team is coached by Nancy Franson-Prentiss and the JV team is coached by Colleen Kobler.
