Dwight Yoakam headed to Paramount

Suburban country music fans are in luck.

Dwight Yoakam will play the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, with the band The Lone Bellow as his opening act, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10.

Tickets to the star behind the acclaimed album "3 Pears" are $50-$79, and go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. But Paramount Theatre subscribers get an early crack at Yoakam tickets during the pre-sale starting 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21. Call (630) 896-6666 or visit paramountaurora.com for more information.

Up at the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake, its Nashville Backstage Series will host "A Country Cabaret" featuring performers Sherrie Austin, Tony Haselden and Will Rambeaux at 8 p.m. Friday, March 1. Single tickets are $32. Call (815) 356-9212 or visit rauecenter.org.
