The members have been there for years. No one has run against them- they feel untouchable. If we want to see things change in how we as a village pursue growth then we must change the board. I feel I bring not only youth and energy to a stagnant board, but I bring a different view. I bring a business owners view. I bring a family mans view. We have sat to long and watch property along Randall continually go to Elgin. We have seen neighborhoods be consumed by Elgin. Our current board has done nothing. We must begin once again looking to the future before we finally get passed by and left in last past.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.We are blessed to have one of the finest Police and Fire departments in the state. Public safety is a very minor concern to my neighbors and my family. We know they are doing a great job.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized.
