Should the Ken-Loch golf links remain open space or be developed? Why?
Ken-Loch should remain an open space or stay a golf course. A high density construction project that developes 256 apartments units and 103 townhouses to house an estimated 736 new Lombard citizens would add additional concerns on schools, traffic , ect...
Village government in Lombard has been sharply divided and the board has been deadlocked on several key issues since Bill Mueller's death. How will you help unify the board so it can better address Lombard's needs?
Each Trustee represents and is the voice for the people of their District. It is up to each Trustee to vote to use all tax dollars wisely, in a way such that all Lombard's residents needs are maintained efficiently while fostering a vibrate business community. I will see to it that District 1 tax dollars are used wisely and encourage the same.
Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.
I believe the tax rate could be too high. By lowing the tax rate, the many available business units will eagerly be occupied. This provides a healthier local business environment while satisfying the local & regional consumer needs. Revenues are brought into Lombard by the customers.
Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.
The biggest public safety concern I've hear repeatedly is involving Com Ed's excessively long periods of outages & power voltage surging. My concern needs to be addressed with Com Ed. Repair times use to take minutes to hours, they now take many days to weeks. Just like many businesses that have reduced staff, Com Ed must be running operations on a smaller staff. These smaller crews are not able to maintain a large metro area effectively, like the whole of Chicagoland, while maintaining a modern safe community for it's customers.
What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?
