4 charged in Crystal Lake home invasion

Police said Friday they now have arrested and charged all four suspects in a Feb. 6 home invasion in Crystal Lake.

Authorities said the four suspects forced their way into a home on the 0-100 block of East Terra Cotta Avenue, battered the resident, removed items and fled on foot.

Two suspects were quickly apprehended in the area following a foot pursuit; the other two weren’t located until further investigation determined their identities, and police obtained arrest warrants, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

The four individuals were all charged with residential burglary, robbery, mob action and battery. They are: William J. Kindall, 21, of Woodstock; Jonathan M. Kindall, 20, of Woodstock; Philip J. Dawson, 26, of Crystal Lake; and Ryan M. Johnson, 22, of Crystal Lake.

William Kindall was also charged with unlawful possession of cannabis.

All four were in custody at the McHenry County Jail, with bond set at $80,000 each.
