Bank robbed in Fox Lake

Authorities are still searching for a man who robbed the PNC Bank in Fox Lake Tuesday afternoon.

FBI officials said no one was injured in the robbery at the bank branch at 66 E. Grand in Fox Lake at about 2:40 p.m.

The robber was described by witnesses as a white male, between 25 and 40 years old.

He stood about 5-feet, 7-inches tall with a medium build.

At the time of the robbery, the offender was wearing a tan coat, blue jeans, athletic shoes, gloves, knit hat, scarf, and a white dust mask over his mouth and nose.

FBI officials said the robber handed the teller a note requesting money, and did not threaten the teller with a weapon.

The robber made off with an unknown amount of cash.
