Construction has started on a full-price wing at Gurnee Mills, mall officials announced Tuesday. Scheduled to debut in conjunction with the grand opening of Macy’s in July, the project is expected to highlight Gurnee Mills as the premier hybrid shopping mecca with outlet, value and full-price retailers all under one roof. “We are thrilled to get this project under way, which when completed will establish Gurnee Mills as the only shopping destination of its kind,” said Randy Ebertowski, general manager at Gurnee Mills. “Meeting shopper demand for the best of retail all under one roof, our full-price retail wing anchored by Macy’s will add another dimension to Gurnee Mills unique brand of shopping with unmatched selection and incredible value.” The full-price wing is an important component of a major renovation program ongoing at Gurnee Mills for the past several months.
