FullScore Chamber Orchestra to perform its ‘Winter Classics’

FullScore Chamber Orchestra presents its next concert, “Winter Classics,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road in Gurnee.

“Winter Classics” will include Brahms’ “Haydn Variations,” Britten’s “Simple Symphony,” and the world premiers of Chicago composer Donald Walker’s “Chamber Overture” and “Fantasy for Clarinet and Orchestra.” Walker has written/arranged numerous times for FullScore, including a popular set of classic rock tunes they did last year for a pops concert.

FullScore Chamber Orchestra thrives on celebrating diversity — classical, rock, pops, children’s concerts, and vital new compositions. This year’s “Winter classics” at St. Paul the Apostle in Gurnee promises to be yet another such celebration. Admission is $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and younger.
