A Cook County judge sentenced a Glenview man to four years in prison for possessing and manufacturing marijuana.

Cook County Sheriff's eviction unit officers say Juro Konstantinov, 35, was operating a grow house out of his rental home in the 1400 block of Evergreen Terrace. They discovered the operation in July 2011 when they were executing a court order against Konstantinov for failure to pay back rent.

Sheriff's deputies recovered 14 mature plants and 30 seedlings along with drug and grow house paraphernalia from the home, authorities said after Konstantinov's arrest. They recovered 5,000 grams of cannabis with an estimated street value of $40,000.

The judge also ordered Konstantinov to pay $2,884 in fines, court records show.
