Batavia

• A purse was stolen out of an unlocked car Sunday at Excel Gymnastics Academy, 2301 Main St., police said.

• A thief stole $210 out of a purse in an unlocked car in a garage in the 1100 block of Challenger Drive, it was reported to police at 7:26 p.m. Monday.

Geneva

• A Garmin Nuvi GPS device was stolen out of car between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of Brittany Court, police said.

• Miranda M. Grocesley, 21, of the 300 block of Old Indian Trail Road, Aurora; and Cornelius D. McCrary, 19, of the 1300 block of Ada Street, Chicago were charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft in connection with an incident at 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at Tilly's, 514 Commons Drive, according to a police report. Police also listed an address of the 400 block of South River Street in Aurora for McCrary. Police said five people entered the store, and Grocesley asked to use a restroom, but was turned down. The other people distracted employees, and Grocesley and McCrary entered a backroom and took credit cards, identification and a T-Mobile My Touch cellphone out of a purse. They were arrested a short time later in the 500 block of Lark Street.
