Entries sought for Palatine’s Paint the Town Green parade, market

Organizers of the 3rd Annual Paint the Town Green St. Patrick's Day celebration in Palatine are seeking entries for the Saturday, March 16 parade and Irish market in the village's downtown.
Applications are due Thursday, Jan. 31 and space in the market is limited. The Irish Market will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. under a tent outside Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith St. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the corner of Wood and Oak streets.

Volunteers will collect food, clothing and donations for Journeys the Road Home, an organization serving the homeless and near-homeless.
Event coordinator Liz Noe of ElizEvents said sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available through Feb. 8. For more information, visit stpatspalatine.com.
