Driver’s license law stems from ineptness

text size: AAA

Our governments at both the national and local levels keep proving to us that they do not have the ability to make informed decisions. Gov. Pat Quinn has signed a bill that gives illegal immigrants a driver's license. So now we are going to have 250,000 illegals with driver's licenses. If they are here illegally, how will they work to pay for their car, gas and insurance if they do not have a Social Security card? How are they going to pass the driver's test if they cannot speak English?

But the biggest problem these uninformed politicians overlooked is that they must increase the state minimums for auto insurance.

If an illegal immigrant hits your car, or puts you in the hospital, it will be your insurance company that will be paying the bill. With these policies, they cover basically nothing except to make them a legal driver. We've always had to pay for the uninsured motorist, and now we have to pay for the underinsured motorist.

Just think what a great job our leaders will do with the pension problem and 166,000 unpaid bills.
