Every time I see the commercial for the Humane Society to save abused animals, I think of our innocent unborn that are killed and abused in the womb through abortion. Jan. 22 is the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade, and 53 million children have been killed with the permission of their own mothers and through the hands of doctors destroying the innocent in the womb.

Next time you see this commercial to save animals use the same words to protect the unborn. Visualize the physical abuse to the child -- limbs being torn apart. They cannot speak up for themselves. If mothers would bring them to term they too could be adopted. Have we no conscience, no morals that this is allowed in our country?

Ultrasound machines help expectant parents see for themselves the humanity of their tiny children waiting to be born. Technology confirms what reason has always taught us. The unborn baby is a human being. There is nothing magical about passing through the birth canal that transforms it from a fetus into a person.

Let us do what we can to stop the funding of this abuse through our tax dollars to Planned Parenthood. Call your senators and representatives, teach abstinence, support crisis pregnancy centers, pray at the abortion clinics that the workers, doctors and clients will have a change of heart. There is a child waiting for your help. Join the real Humane Society and be pro-life.
