On Saturday, Feb. 23 -- a day before the Academy Awards -- Barrington-area movie lovers will be able to see all 10 nominees in the best animated short film and best live action short film categories at The Catlow theater. The animated films will start at noon, followed by the live action films at 2 p.m. As a courtesy to families with younger children, there will be a brief intermission between the two categories should they choose not to watch the latter films. Motion picture ratings are not currently available for all the films. Tickets are $10 each and available at The Catlow, 116 W. Main St.; Boloney's restaurant next door; or Barrington village hall, 200 S. Hough St. The event is made possible by the Barrington Cultural Commission and The Catlow.
