Des Plaines water main break closes streets
A water main break will result in the closure of two streets in Des Plaines from 11 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, until 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, so that repairs can be made, city officials warned late Thursday.
Oakton Street will be closed between River Road and Lee Street, and White Street will be closed between Lincoln Avenue and Riverview Avenue. The Des Plaines Public Works and Engineering Department advised motorists to obey signage and drive cautiously.
