Allegations against Clinton inhumane

The recent allegation from the conservative right that Hillary Clinton trumped up an illness to avoid testifying before Congress about Benghazi is both inhumane and un-American. I suspect the stress involved in dealing emotionally with this national tragedy may have contributed to her current condition.

Certainly her eulogy of the lost represents her true feelings about this unfortunate event. As much as the loss of four Americans may be due to carelessness in security on the State Department’s part, pouncing on one of our leaders when she’s down is unconscionable.

As if this weren’t enough, the inane comments about her hairstyle throughout her whirlwind travel are downright insensitive. In the days ahead the American response to all of this sadness is to pray for Hilary’s soon complete recovery as well as get to the bottom of Benghazi and assure the country that such horrors will never again occur.

This should include right-wing voting for increased security funds for our foreign service, instead of slicing it out of our national budget — that is, the Republican participation in the loss of our diplomats.
