Island Lake's electoral board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, to decide whether two candidates for village office should remain on April 9 ballots. Objections have been filed against the candidacies of mayoral hopeful Charles Amrich and trustee candidate Tony Sciarrone by a pair of residents. The meeting will be at village hall, 3720 Greenleaf Ave. Amrich and Sciarrone are part of the same slate and are running against a team led by Mayor Debbie Herrmann. The three-member board consists of elected officials.
