• Tonya Aguiniga, 32 and her 30-year-old husband, Terry Bolan, both of the 800 block of Village Quarter Road in West Dundee, were each charged Dec. 22 with unlawful use of credit cards, according to a police report. Police said the pair used two credit cards to ring up charges at several area stores and were arrested after charging $125.83 in merchandise at Sprint. Aguiniga also was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of justice for giving a false name to police, officials said. Bail was set at $35,000 for both, and they are scheduled to appear in court Friday at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• Someone damaged a Kia Spectra with black spray paint and pulled down Christmas decorations on the 0-99 block of Farm Lane near Carpentersville, according to a sheriff's report. The damage was reported at 10:18 a.m. Monday.
