The people should vote on gay marriage
I really get tired of all this talk about gay marriage. We are all supposed to embrace it, but it is morally wrong. Marriage was created between a man and woman; that is how God intended a man and a woman to create life.
We have over 13 million people living in Illinois. Twenty-five same-sex couples are suing to be married, a grand total of 50 people. We are going to change for such a minuscule number of people for a time-honored tradition. About 95 percent of people are straight.
Let the gay couples have their civil unions. Man and a woman, husband and wife, mom and dad — that works fine. Let the people of Illinois vote on this important issue, not some members of Congress telling us what’s right
