More than two hundred competitive skaters gathered from the Chicago-land area at Rolling Meadows Park District West Meadows Ice Arena. The 15th Annual Frost Fest competition took place on Friday, December 28. The ice arenas that participated were Saddle & Cycle Club, McFetridge Sports Center, Niles Iceland, Franklin Park, Twin Rinks, Center Ice of DuPage, Hoffman Estates, The Edge Ice Arena, Kenosha and Arctic Ice Arena.

Children from the ages of three to adults competed in solo and pairs, focusing on compulsories, music interpretation and synchronized skating. Skaters are judged upon foot work, jumps, spins, edge maneuvers along with specific skills for each age group.
