Hoffman Estates crash injures one, closes Roselle Road

The southbound lanes of Roselle Road near Illinois Boulevard in Hoffman Estates were temporarily closed Sunday morning while authorities investigated a two-vehicle crash that sent one person to a hospital for treatment.

Firefighters said it initially was thought to be a three-vehicle crash, but they later found that the driver of the third vehicle on the scene had stopped to assist.

Hoffman Estates fire officials said one person was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates after the crash, which took place about 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Another person declined treatment at the scene,

Police said details about the crash would not be available until Monday.
