Daily Herald report

Villa Park's Iowa Community Center, 338 N. Iowa, will be closed Jan. 2 and 3 while repairs are made to the building's boiler. All programs in the building have been canceled until it reopens on Jan. 4.

Park staff observed the 46-year-old boiler leaking in late December and determined it needed to be rebuilt to give five to seven years of additional service before replacing it.
