Willow Creek Christmas services begin Thursday

Willow Creek Community Church's Christmas services, titled "When All Hope Was Lost, the Salvage Mission Began," tells the epic story of God's plan to restore the world through a most unlikely hero — a baby.
"God's salvage mission has been going on since before Adam and Eve," says Blaine Hogan, Willow Creek's creative director.
Sharing the traditional story of Christmas — the story of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus — the South Barrington church connects it to a larger narrative of God's story as told in scripture.
"We're excited to tell this story of God and humankind within the context of the birth of Jesus," Hogan said.
Willow Creek's Christmas services attract tens of thousands of people
Between Thursday, Dec. 20, and Monday, Dec. 24, Willow Creek offers 12 services, approximately 90 minutes in length: 11 identical services in English and one service entirely in Spanish (2:30 p.m. Sunday).
Each service is rich with dance, film and live music, including traditional Christmas carols and a message from Willow Creek's Senior Pastor Bill Hybels. All services are free and no tickets are required.
Language interpretation — including Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and Sign Language Interpretation as well as respite care are available at select services. Willow's children's ministry, provides an age-appropriate experience for infants through grade one during all Christmas services.
Services times in English are: 7 p.m. Thursday, 7 p.m. Friday, 1, 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday, 9 and 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, and 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. Monday.
