AmericanEagle.com buys Des Plaines office building

Park Ridge-based AmericanEagle.com, a website strategy, development and maintenance firm, purchased an office building in Des Plaines that was owned by Property Casualty Insurers for $3.8 million.

Lee & Associates, a national commercial real estate firm, said it had closed the sale of the building at 2600 River Road in Des Plaines and had represented the seller, Property Casualty Insurers.

Property Casualty Insurers sold its office location in Des Plaines because it was too large for its current needs and decided to relocate to a 39,000-square-foot Chicago building near the train and have signage facing the expressway, Lee & Associates’ Ellen Steinbrecher said in a release. She was not immediately available for further comment.

AmericanEagle.com was represented by Grubb & Ellis. A spokesman for AmericanEagle.com was not immediately available for comment.

Built in 1972 and remodeled in 1993, the 60,000-square-foot building will be fully occupied by AmericanEagle.com.
