Car hits bus carrying children in Rolling Meadows

The Rolling Meadows Fire Department reported an accident involving a bus and car near the Willow Bend School.

Firefighters said a car struck the side of the bus, which was transporting children at the time.

The accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Algonquin Road and Barker Avenue.

Nobody on the bus was injured, firefighters said, and one person refused treatment.

The driver of the car was ticketed, firefighters said, but they were unable to give further details.
