Two DuPage men accused of robberies

Two men are facing criminal charges in connection with a series of robberies of pizza delivery drivers in Addison.

Tavarius Smith, 24, of Chicago, and Shaun Frye, 18, of Bloomingdale, each have been charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

Smith and Frye are accused of using BB guns to commit four separate robberies of pizza delivery drivers, prosecutors said Wednesday in bond court. The victims, who were each robbed of cash and food, thought the BB guns were real guns, officials said.

Addison police said in a statement that the four robberies happened between October and this month on the 900 block of College Boulevard and the 600 block of Meadows Boulevard. In all the robberies, a food order was placed to a local business. The victims were robbed when they delivered the food.

Records show Smith and Frye were booked Tuesday at the DuPage County jail after they were taken into custody by Addison police.

Both Smith and Frye remained jailed Wednesday on bails of $150,000 and $100,000, respectively.
