Batavia handles Waubonsie Valley

Batavia 61, Waubonsie Valley 38: The Bulldogs improved their record to 6-3 on the season with a win over UEC crossover opponent Waubonsie Valley.

Batavia got of to another hot start ending the first quarter with a 19-8 lead. Batavia's post player duo of Erin Bayram and Hannah Frazier were a force early in the game, combining for 10 first-quarter points and controlling the boards on both ends of the floor.

Jenny Welday broke into the scoring column in the fourth quarter, and her defense sparked the Bulldogs throughout the game.

Liza Fruendt led all scorers with 22 points.
