Two Glendale Heights men face aggravated robbery charges after one of the men last week robbed acquaintances, police announced Monday.

Carlos O. Rios Uribe, 18, and Francisco A. Vargas, 19, were taken into custody Friday after police investigated an armed robbery that happened about 3:50 p.m. Thursday on the 100 block of Opal Drive.

Glendale Heights police officers and detectives determined that an armed man had robbed people they knew. The offender and an accomplice fled the area in an unknown direction, authorities said.

Rios Uribe and Vargas, who both live in Glendale Heights, each were charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

Rios Uribe's bail has been set at $100,000, and Vargas' bail has been set at $12,500. Both men were being held at the DuPage County jail.
