Mr. Peterson's letter of Nov. 24 is very shortsighted. I have many friends that have many different ideas on abortion. It is not just no to abortions period. There are many shades of gray. Some do say never — no abortion under any circumstance — including incest and rape, which is really the same.
Others say incest yes, rape no. You have women that say they are too old. Others say if the women's life/health is in danger (stress don't count). Others say, if the sperm donor does not want to support the mother, also when the girl needs to finish college. What about a 13-year-old, 11-year-old? It happens.
There are so many different, yes, I am for abortions ... but. This is much more complex than it appears. I do not have an answer, only to say it is a life that is being snuffed out and it should not be taken so lightly.
