One person was arrested Friday afternoon following an armed standoff in an Ingleside neighborhood, police said.

The unidentified man had been barricaded inside a house on the 2600 block of Squaw Road. He was arrested about 3:30 p.m.

No one was injured nor were any shots fired, Lake County sheriff's police Sgt. Sara Balmes said.

The standoff prompted security measures to be taken at nearby Gavin Central School.

Students who take the bus home were allowed to board buses, Balmes said, as long as they don't live in the neighborhood where the standoff was happening. Students who live in that neighborhood had to be picked up by their parents at school, Balmes said.

However, no parents were allowed to enter the school building, Balmes said.

No other details were immediately available.
