Wauconda Library offers eBook services

Wauconda Area Library has announced its new eBook service, the 3M Cloud Library. The 3M Cloud Library provides access to eBooks on Nook, Apple and Android devices (it is currently not compatible with Kindle). Once a library patron downloads the free 3M Cloud Libraryapp from iTunes or Google Play, he or she can search for a particular title or browse shelves by genre, such as fiction, travel and many others. Patrons also have the ability to return titles early on Apple and Android devices.

The library’s other eBook service, MyMediaMall, provides access to eBooks and eAudiobooks for Apple, Android and Kindle devices. Thousands of titles can be downloaded using the free Kindle or Overdrive apps. After the apps are downloaded, patrons can search the shelves for books by genre, popularity or specifically by title.

To download MMM materials, patrons must have a valid Wauconda Area Library bar code number (a valid library card has fines under $5 and is in good standing). In order to use the 3M Cloud Library, patrons will need a valid Wauconda Area Library bar code number and PIN. Those who do not know their PIN can call the library at (847) 526-6225 or email library@wauclib.org. The Adult Services Reference Desk can also walk patrons you through the setup if they have any questions.
