Sugar Grove

• Mitchell J. Jeczalik, 53, of Green Hills Court in Sugar Grove, has been charged with one count of felony aggravated battery in a public place and one count of misdemeanor battery, according to police. At about 9:10 p.m. Nov. 5, Jeczalik got into a dispute with a clerk over a credit for a free pizza at Rosati's Pizza on Route 47. Jeczalik struck the clerk, police said. Jeczalik turned himself in Thursday and is free on $500 bond.

Geneva

• An iPhone 4S in a pink case with white dots was stolen between 11 and 11:50 a.m. Nov. 7 out of an unlocked locker in a girls locker room at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave., police said.

• An iPhone 4S in a sparkly silver case was stolen around 9:30 a.m. Nov. 8 out of a locker in a girls locker room at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave. The owner used a tracking service, which indicated the phone was in Wheeler Park at 12:29 p.m., but did not find the phone, police said.

• James A. Schnaitman, 42, of Geneva, was charged with felony domestic battery and felony violation of an order of protection at 5:17 p.m. Nov. 7 at his home, according to a police report. Police were called to a report of a woman being stabbed in the driveway. They found Schnaitman standing over a woman, holding her down with her face on the ground, while three "small children" stood on the front steps and yelled that Schnaitman was trying to kill their mother. The victim was not stabbed, and she told police Schnaitman had choked her from behind, and had held a kitchen knife to her face. She was treated at a hospital for back pain. Schnaitman was being held in the Kane County jail on $10,000 bail.
