Buffalo Grove bands to perform “Big Band Classics”
The Buffalo Grove Symphonic and Jazz bands will perform “Big Band Classics” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Libertyville High School, 708 W. Park Ave. Music will include William Schumann’s “George Washington Bridge,” Grainger’s “Lincolnshire Posy,” Adam Gorb’s “Yiddish Dances” and other greats from the big band era such as the Artie Shaw Concerto featuring soloist Howard Green. Adult tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance at Buffalo Grove village hall and $12 at the door. Tickets cost $8 for students and seniors 62 years and older. For more information, visit bgsg.org.
