Now back to our regular programming:
Now we can go ahead and ignore Ohio for three-and-a-half more years.
All this talk about Houston's J.J. Watt, though legit, has me thinking we're in for a special prime-time performance by Julius Peppers.
Watching Brian Urlacher's 22-minute or so rumble to the end zone Sunday got me thinking: The guy has morphed into Dick Butkus circa 1971.
What's with the poster board-sized ballots on election day?
Jumper ,,, good:
The arrival of Artis Gilmore really got me into the Bulls.
Jim Durham kept me there.
He was, by far, the best in the business.
A memorial service for Durham will be held Tuesday morning at Holy Name Cathedral.
Has moved up to 4 on a scale of 10 for an actual NHL season to take place.

In other news:

Ex-bench mob update:
Ronnie Brewer (Knicks) is getting about 26 minutes of playing time per game and averaging 9.7 points and 6.7 rebounds.
Omer Asik, meanwhile, is averaging 14 rebounds and 6.5 points for the Rockets..
Not that any of this means anything.

Ailing Colts coach Chuck Pagano's postgame speech to his team on Sunday.
Tough not to get emotional watching it.
Just as classy:
Colts players shaving their heads this week to honor Pagano.
"Yeah, don't do it. Use your head. It's a mistake that I have to live with for the rest of my life. I have to deal with never, ever getting into the Hall of Fame. ... If any ballplayer ever came up to me (I'd tell them) run away from it."
