Mundelein High food drive

Mundelein High School’s performance groups, including theater, choirs, bands and Orchesis, have teamed with National Honor Society members to collect what they hope will be record numbers of nonperishable goods as part of their “Food and Fine Arts” drive. The drive is coordinated by MHS Senior, Dan Szoke, a member of band and NHS. Patrons of fine arts events will be asked to bring canned goods and other non-perishables as they attend various fine arts events between now and the end of the year. Most MHS fine arts events are free. Upcoming events accepting goods for admission include: Fall Play, “Romeo & Juliet”, Nov. 15, 16 and 17; Winter Band Concert, Dec. 6; Holiday Choir Concert, Dec. 13; Orchesis Show, Dec. 17; and a Theatre Holiday Extravaganza, Dec. 21. Patrons of these events may also make monetary donations to be used for the same cause. All donations will be delivered to the Lake County Food Pantry and the conclusion of the drive.
