McHenry man charged with sexual assault

A McHenry man has been charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, according to news release from the McHenry County sheriff’s department.

Ryan J. Frazier, 31, of the 5300 block of Meadow Street, was taken into custody on Wednesday, officials said. Sheriff’s investigators received information Tuesday from Twin Lakes, Wis., police that a child younger than 13 had reported being sexually abused by Frazier at his home in an unincorporated area near McHenry.

The victim disclosed details of the abuse during an interview conducted with help from the Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County. Frazier subsequently admitted he had sexually assaulted the child in October.

Frazier is being held in the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility on $150,000 bond. His next court date is Nov. 13.
