Disappointed in Sara Evans concert

On Sunday, Oct. 28 I attended the 6 p.m. Sara Evans concert at Pfeiffer Hall on the campus of North Central College. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert until she walked off the stage at 7:12 p.m.

If I would have known Ms. Evans was going to stop performing after 72 minutes I wouldn’t have gone to the concert (I was home by 7:30). The cost of my ticket was $72, which means I paid her $1 per minute and other 1,056 people in attendance also paid a $1 per minute if not more depending on the cost of their ticket. Those calculations equate to $1,057 per minute for a minimum paycheck of $76,104 for a 72-minute concert. Unbelievable.

I was totally disappointed. I’ve been to a lot of concerts but never to one that lasted a mere 72 minutes. Unheard of. Pretty expensive ticket prices for such a short concert. Sunday’s disheartening experience will definitely be a factor when I consider future visits to campus.
