Streamwood Woman’s Club gives back

During the Oct. 2 general meeting of the Streamwood Woman’s Club, recipients of the club’s philanthropic endeavors were invited to speak about their programs and services.

Sgt. Norum from the Streamwood Police Department Dare program, Lee Conrad from Community Crisis Center, Larry Winters from Streamwood High School and Brian McGuire and Mary Jo Imperato, both from Hanover Township, attended and thanked club members for their donations.

Over the past year, the club donated $1,700 to the Hanover Township Food Pantry; $350 to the Community Crisis Center, $350 to the Streamwood Police Department’s DARE program; and $1,025 to the Streamwood High School Drama program.

The Streamwood Woman’s Club holds many fundraising events throughout the year including the Charming Charlie’s fundraiser, Dining for Dollars, gingerbread house raffle, spring floral design show and more.
