• Someone used a pumpkin to smash a $250 mailbox on the 1S0-99 block of East Burnham Court near Geneva between 10 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday, according to a sheriff's report.

• A resident of the 1S300 block of Revere House Lane near Geneva reported that a purse, phone and other items were stolen when visiting a park in Chicago on Oct. 28, according to a sheriff's report. The total loss was at least $400.

• A silver silverware set of 12 place settings was reported stolen from a home on the 43W500 block of Old Oaks Road near Sugar Grove at 12:02 p.m. Oct. 31, according to a sheriff's report. The silverware was last seen in June.
