Two Aurora men were taken into custody Saturday after a report of shots fired in Warrenville.
Police responded to the call about 1:30 a.m. on the 500 block of Winchester Circle North. A vehicle leaving the area was stopped, a firearm recovered and two subjects were taken into custody, police said.
A canvas of the area confirmed that no one was injured, police said.
According to the department, Adrian Ramos, 21, of the 300 North Union Street, will be charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of a firearm without a firearm owners card.
David Vargas, 20, of the 1000 block of Lisa Boulevard, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm without a firearm owners card.
Vargas was in the DuPage County jail pending a bond hearing Sunday.
Warrenville detectives were assisted by the West Chicago Police Department, DuPage County sheriff's office and the DuPage County state's attorney's office.
The matter is still under investigation and anyone having information is asked to call Sgt. Jacobson at (630) 393-2131.
