As an educator in Aptakisic Tripp District 102, I was very grateful for Sid Mathias's frequent support of education. As mayor, and state representative, Sid always took time from his schedule to visit the fourth-grade students and discuss local government. He enthusiastically read to them to demonstrate how important reading is to him.

Year after year, Sid took the time to be there to give students real-time learning. He also was a frequent visitor to other classes where he took time from his day to read to the children. What an impact and message this sends to our future generation.

Sid strongly supports education and understands the sincere dedication of teachers. Supported by these same teachers, he is dedicated to fairness in creating a retirement system and to preserve the promises given to educators by the state.

Sid is a grandfather, husband, dad, and friend. I must also say he is a great leader. Since I've known Sid he has devoted himself to our local government, because that is who he is. He believes in giving back and he is always responsive to each individual in our community
