Obama’s not the obstructionist one

I am terribly disappointed in your endorsement of Mitt Romney. You don’t have the facts or the nuance correct. You suggest Obama is culpable for the gridlock, but you haven’t paid attention.

The evidence is there: The GOP using the debt ceiling as leverage to force the president into deep cuts with no revenue? Is that a balanced approach the president should have agreed to? Record filibusters on issues and judicial appointments by Republicans?

You offer the Affordable Care Act as something not necessary? Or not a priority? You would have been on the wrong side of history during the 1930s and 1960s, probably opposing Medicare and Social Security.

How many members of the Republican Party signed Grover Norquist’s no-tax pledge? Again, a fair and balanced approach? You call Romney successful because he made a lot of money as a corporate raider, destroying middle class folks’ lives.

Romney has changed his position on most issues. I suppose character doesn’t comport with your decision making.

There have been barriers thrown at this president never seen before. Some of it is racism, I don’t get it. This country will look terrible in history, electing a black president and then throwing him out after unseen obstruction.
